Firebreak Inspections
Firebreak inspections were carried out over recent weeks and it was pleasing to note that the majority of properties had sufficient firebreak measures in place.
Property owners are urged to ensure that firebreaks are maintained through to the end of the restricted burning period 31 May 2008. The present weather conditions including below average rainfall has seen some of the driest conditions for many years and should a fire take hold the consequences could be severe.
