Firebreak Order
Fire prevention work as detailed in Council’s Firebreak Order (delivered with rate notices) is required to be completed by 1 December 2009 in the townsite and 15 December 2009 in rural areas. The work must be maintained throughout the summer months until the close of the restricted burning period on 31 May 2010.
Non compliance with the order may attract a fine of $250 with Firebreak inspections commencing in December.
