Dog Registrations Due

Dog owners are advised that dog registrations for 2007 expire on 31 October.  All dogs over the age of 3 months must be registered.  Please check your dog’s registration tag and ensure that it is registered.  It is an offence under the Dog Act 1976 not to register your dog which attracts a fine of $100.

The cost of registering your dog is:

                                     1 year        3 years

 Sterilised Dog                 $10               $18

Unsterilised Dog               $30               $75

There are concession rates for working farm dogs and for aged pension cardholders.  Pamphlets containing information on laws for dog owners are available from the Shire office.
