Firebreak Order
FIREBREAK ORDER
Fire prevention work as detailed in Council’s Firebreak Order is required to be completed by 1 December in the townsite and 15 December in rural areas. The work must be maintained throughout the summer months until the close of the restricted burning period on 31 May 2008.
When rates are forwarded Council also sends out a while glossy Information Booklet which contains all specific firebreak detail. Alternatively Council’s website nannup@nannup.wa.gov.au or Council officers can provide this information.
Non compliance with the order may attract a fine of $250 with Firebreak inspections commencing in December.
