Infectious Diseases
Council's Manager Development Services investigates communicable diseases listed under the Health Act 1911. The purpose of investigations is to identify sources of infection and to minimise the spread of disease. All patient information is confidential and is referred to the Department of Health.
Some common communicable diseases include:
- Salmonellosis
- Campylobacter Infection
- Ross River Virus
- Giardia Infection
