Dog Control
Dog owners are requested to keep their dogs under control in accordance with the Dog Act 1976. Dog owners are required to have the property fenced in a manner capable of confining their dog. Wandering dogs are a nuisance and a danger to the community.
The Department of Local Government and Regional Development has detailed information on it's website in relation to the keeping and management of dogs in Western Australia. It includes information on their care, the responsibilities of owners, training and socialisation, behaviour around dogs, legislative requirements, confinement and control, behavioural problems such as nuisance barking and a number of other matters.
