Blackwood Valley Wine Show

For over 20 years, the annual wine show has been conducted to showcase not only the winners from the local region, but also from small producers across the State.

The Wine Show features;

• Blackwood Valley wines
• Western Australian Boutique wines across the State, who crush less than 250 tonnes of fruit per year
• Western Australian Single Vineyard wines produced in WA from a single, identifiable portion of land and there is no restriction on the size of the winery entering the wines

The Blackwood Valley region is fast gaining a well-deserved reputation for top class wine. In the midst of lush green pastures, rolling hills and towering forests are hidden 50 picturesque vineyards and 19 unique wineries. The deep gravel duplex soils and strong loams produce wines with distinctive flavours and aromas. Cabernet and Shiraz varieties grown in the region are characterised by strong fruit flavours with earthy undertones, while fruit and honey flavours denote the white wine varieties being produced.
