Nannup Youth & Children
The Shire of Nannup offers programs aimed at early childhood through to young adults. Programs are delivered in a creative and nurturing setting and are aimed to cater to the various interests and needs of the participating individuals.
The Youth Space is located at the rear of the Town Hall on Grange Rd. Community members who are interested in hosting youth activities are invited to contact the Shire office for more information.
After school art classes are offered to primary school aged children on Mondays from 3:30pm until 4:30pm in Terms 2 & 3. In this program we aim to provide young people with the opportunity to explore different mediums and the opportunity to be creative in a fun and social environment. There is a small cost to participants which helps with the purchase of materials and afternoon tea.
Each school holiday, programs are scheduled offering a variety of activities including camps, day trips and workshops. The school holiday programs change depending on the time of year and interests. Information can be found at the Shire Office, around town or in the Telegraph and School Newsletters. Community members that would like to host activities as part of this program are invited to contact the Shire office. All of the Shire of Nannup programs are inclusive and individuals with disabilities and special needs are encouraged to participate.
If you have any further questions, please inquire at the Shire Office.

Nannup Youth Zone 2023
The Shire of Nannup and the Nannup Local Drug Action Group (LDAG) are very proud to be facilitating the Nannup Youth Zone 2023, in partnership with the Alcohol and Drug Foundation.
Our Youth Zone provides a safe space for Youths aged 12 (or Year 7)-17yrs in our community to come together. Offering a wide range of activities and experiences, the Nannup Youth Zone allows for skills advancement and hands-on training with participation in basic car maintenance, First Aid, barista training and much more. Recognising that this isn't everyone's cup of tea, the Youth Zone also offers Youths the opportunity to make afternoon tea, sit and enjoy music with friends, play board games and garden.
The Nannup Youth Zone 2023 runs every Tuesday from 3.30pm-5:30pm in the Community Meeting Room, at the Recreation Centre Precinct, Centenary Drive, Nannup.
Police Academy Trip, December 2022
In December, 2022 the Shire of Nannup alongside the Nannup Local Drug Action Group worked with the Nannup Police, and took a cohort of youth residents to the Police Academy in Joondalup. With not one "are we they yet?" we all had a fantastic time, and enjoyed ourselves immensely! Please enjoy the video production of our trip.

The Shire of Nannup has been successful in receiving funding from the Department of Sport and Recreation to administer the KidSport program.
