Recycle Station at the Tip has reopened

As the COVID - 19 risk has reduced and it is deemed safe for persons to go about their normal activities the Shire of Nannup has re - opened the Recycle Station and Tip Shop.

  •  Recyclable items such as Glass bottle, Plastic containers, Aluminium cans and Cardboard are now being accepted for disposal through the Recycle Station.
  • Items will now be accepted from the public for the Tip Shop. Please be mindful that items must be in a useful and safe condition for re use.
  • Mattresses and E Waste will now be collected and stored for recycling. Please be reminded a fee applies for the disposal of mattresses.
  • All other recyclable items such as Metal, Batteries and Tyres continue to be collected as normal and persons are encouraged not to dispose of these in landfill.
  • Cash is accepted at the site – however payment by card and Eftpos is the preferred method of payment.
  • Persons bringing waste to the site are strongly encouraged to recycle and not dispose these materials to landfill. If you are not sure ask the Site Attendant who will be able to advise.

 Those persons visiting the site are advised:

  • The site ablutions – toilet and sink are not public ablutions and are for staff use only.
  • There is strictly no scavenging.
  • Pets must remain in vehicle at all times.
  • No waste from outside the shire boundary will be accepted.
  • Normal days and times of operation for the Waste Disposal Site operation remain in place.
  • Those visiting the waste site should be prepared to unload waste materials themselves. The Shire has no plant at the site for unloading.
  • The Site Attendant and other shire staff will continue to physically distance themselves from persons visiting the site as advised by the Australian Government
