Shire of Nannup Success in SWDC RED's Round 3

On Friday 30 October the Shire of Nannup Chief Executive Officer, David Taylor, and Economic & Community Development Officer, Nicole Botica, attended the special announcement with the HON Alannah MacTiernan MLC, Minister for Regional Development; at the new Bunbury Geographe Motor Museum. 

Minister MacTiernan announce the recipients of the recent Regional Economic Development Grants on behalf of the South West Development Commission. A total of 15 recipients from the South West were allocated funds to inject in projects that aim to stimulate the local economy by sharing in the funding pool that equates to just under $1.2 million. 

The investment aims to build long-term business growth and resilience to develop economic growth, jobs and strong regional communities. The Shire of Nannup can now progress Stage 2 of the Nannup Tank 7 & 8 Mountain Bike Park project as a result of the funding success. 

Manufacturing businesses also feature in this funding round, with Nannup motorcycle business Vee Two was successful in the grant round and can now expand their custom built engine parts enterprise supplying Ducati enthusiasts from around the world.
