FRIENDS OF DONNELLY VILLAGE INC HERITAGE TRAIL

On Saturday 16 November Shire President Cr Tony Dean officially opened the the Heritage Trail for the Friends of the Donnelly Village. The Heritage Trail has been supported by Lotterywest and enabled the design and installation of the Heritage Trail. 

The Old School was open to the guests showcasing the vast history of the area with oral history video vignettes and old footage of Donnelly Village on display.

The Heritage Trail at Donnelly River Village is another quality regional tourism experience in the Shire of Nannup.

NANNUP MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL UPDATE

The Mountain bike trail network at Tank 7 & 8 is getting closer with plans being finalised and the Detail Design due for completion in the first half of 2020. The 30 km trail network is designed to inter-link within the area, maximise the unique outlook and offer amazing rides for all styles and capabilities of mountain biking, to deliver a world class experience.

Consultants Common Ground have been working hard to ensure the design meets the community expectations. We are looking forward to showcasing the plans to the community in the new year.

NANNUP CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARDS 

2020 Citizen of the Year Awards

26 January 2020, marks the 24th Citizen of the Year Award ceremony for the Shire of Nannup.

Do you know an individual, or a community group, who has contributed towards the enhancement of community life in Nannup?

This year’s Award category includes: Nannup Citizen of the Year (over 25 years of age), Nannup Youth Citizen of the Year (under 25 years of age), Nannup Senior Citizen of the Year (65+ years of age) & Nannup Community Group of the Year (condition of entry, one award every 10 Years).

To nominate for the 2020 Citizen of the Year, click on the link below and complete it electronically. Paper copies can be collected at the administration office of the Shire of Nannup or the Nannup Community Resource Centre.

NANNUP 2020 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD

BEACH EMERGENCY NUMBERS ARE BEING INSTALLED

The first of the Beach Emergency Numbers (BEN) Signs has been installed at Donnelly River and added to the SharkSmart website and App. 

The BEN signs are designed to assist emergency services locate the person(s) in an emergency situation. If you require help and need to contact emergency services, quote the number on the sign, it is unique to that location and allows the emergency crew to locate you.

There are 6 BEN signs locations in the Shire of Nannup, three to be installed at Black Point, one at Jasper Beach and the other at Twin Karris Beach.

NANNUP FAMILY FUN DAY 21 JANUARY 2020

The Nannup Family Fun Day is coming this January, celebrating our community and offering fun activities for the whole family. Tickets will be on sale from 30 December and can be pre-purchased through www.trybooking.com/BGQUS for $10 for children from the age of 3, and adults for $5 or at the door for $12 for children and $7 for adults. By purchasing tickets you will have access to all the rides and activities on offer as well as lunch.
