Walk/Run

     Exploring on foot is one of the best ways to discover our region and we have a range of trails to suit everyone. Walking is an all-year-round activity and a fantastic way to see the ever-changing landscapes of our region. 

The Southern Forests and Valleys region has an array of walk trails that offer the opportunity to explore native bushland, tall forests, sandy beaches, rocky escarpments and tranquil waterfalls. There's no better way to discover the splendour and natural beauty of our region. 

Cycle

     Our region has an outstanding network of trails that take casual riders and serious mountain bikers into the heart of the region's majestic countryside and stunning forests. 

The Southwest is fast becoming a hub for bike riders of all skills and types. Our region boasts the world class Munda Biddi Trail, amazing mountain bike trails in Pemberton and Nannup, extreme gravity experiences at Linga Longa Bike Park, numerous public trails and much more. 

Drive

     There's no better place to traverse on wheels than the Southern Forests and Valleys region. 

The Southern Forests and Valleys has some of the best 4-wheel driving in WA, from expansive forest adventures to dramatic coastline routes, lush green landscapes and rolling hills, our drives will take you through food and wine regions, towering forests and along stunning coastlines. The region is also home to many 2WD trails and tours for you to enjoy. 

Paddle

     The mighty Blackwood, Donnelly, Warren, Shannon, Preston and Frankland Rivers make their way through the Southern Forests and Valleys region, providing a tranquil way to enjoy the sights and sounds of our region. 

As you glide along the spectacular waterways and coast in your canoe or kayak, take in the wonder surrounds from the water. Many of our trails are also suitable for paddleboarding. 

Horse Ride

     Immerse yourself in the Australian bush and experience the Southern Forests and Valleys region on horseback.

Follow the old stock routes used by drovers or yesteryear by riding the 360km Warren Blackwood Stock Route bridle trail which meanders through some of the most picturesque countryside in the region. The Stock Route can be completed in small sections or as a whole trail.
