Welcomes the Margaret River Printmaking Exhibition During Nannup Music Festival!

As Nannup prepares to welcome thousands of visitors for the Nannup Music Festival, the community‑run Supper Room Gallery is delighted to host the Margaret River Printmaking Exhibition from 25 February to 3 March. The timing brings a rich and diverse visual arts experience to town at a moment when our community is buzzing with creativity, culture and connection.

Located beside the Town Hall on Warren Road, the Supper Room Gallery is a cherished community space that showcases local and regional artists throughout the year. The upcoming exhibition reflects this spirit, offering festival‑goers and residents alike a unique opportunity to experience the breadth of contemporary printmaking.

The exhibition features work from Margaret River Printmaking, a collective known for blending traditional craftsmanship with experimental approaches. With studios in both Margaret River and Castel del Rio, Italy, the group nurtures an international artistic community and celebrates the diversity of voices within printmaking.

Visitors will enjoy the work of celebrated printmaker Francesco Geronazzo, who shares his time between Western Australia and Italy. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna and an accredited lecturer in traditional printmaking, Francesco brings decades of global insight to the exhibition.

He is joined by visual artist Eleanor Davies, whose practice centres on the delicate balance between technique, place and intention. Davies describes printmaking as “an interplay of pressure, delicacy and purpose,” with each work capturing a moment in time and a profound connection to country: “We are in this country, and the country is in us.”

With its doors open throughout the Nannup Music Festival, the Supper Room Gallery invites visitors to explore this compelling exhibition and enjoy a diverse arts experience that complements the live music, vibrancy and cultural richness the festival brings to town.
