Finance Officer
- Full-time permanent position (76 hours per fortnight) Part time employment will be considered
- 9 day fortnight, if taken up full-time
- Gross Salary range: $66,000 to $70,000 per annum dependent upon skills and experience
- 11.5% guaranteed superannuation plus up to an additional 5% matching employer contribution

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our dedicated Corporate Services Team.
Key Responsibilities
- As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable with accuracy and efficiency
- Administering rates and revenue functions, including debt recovery and reconciliations
- Supporting monthly and annual financial reporting, audits, and credit card reconciliations
- Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who:
- Has experience in a finance-focused role with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Can work independently and meet deadlines in a team environment
- Has a strong customer service ethic and a proactive approach
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in the Local Government industry in a similar role including demonstrated knowledge of Local Government Act 1995 and other legislation relevant to financial management.
- Formal Accounting qualification or Bookkeeping Certification.
- Sound knowledge of information technology including computer systems and software operations.
