Ranger
The Ranger position is responsible for providing efficient and effective ranger services, and involves a combination of compliance enforcement, community education, and hands on operations. The role will also support Shire’s Community Emergency Services Manager (CESM) position.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Local Government Ranger, with a customer focused and solution driven attitude.
You will have a working knowledge or understanding of the Local Government Act and associated regulations, other Acts pertaining to the role such as the Dog Act 1976 and Bushfires Act 1954.
Employment Conditions (up to):
- Full-time permanent position (76 hours per fortnight)
- 9 day fortnight
- Gross Salary range: $75,000 to $83,000 (full time) per annum dependent upon skills and experience
- Commuter use of a Shire vehicle
- Ability to negotiate Annual Leave entitlements (beyond 4 weeks per annum)
- 12% superannuation guarantee plus up to an additional 5% matching employer contribution
- 17.5% Leave Loading
