As the Executive Manager Works and Services, you will be responsible for the Shire’s infrastructure administration, maintenance and construction programs, parks and gardens, asset management, waste management and delivery of various projects in alignment with the position. You will display a high level of integrity fostering a positive can-do attitude, customer service focus, team culture and relationships with stakeholders.
A performance based 3-to-5-year contract with an attractive total remuneration package comprising of cash salary, superannuation, motor vehicle/allowance, subsidised housing/allowance, communications and professional membership is on offer.

Finance Coordinator (Maternity Leave Contract)
The Shire of Nannup is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to join our dedicated Corporate Services Team. This short-term contract position provides essential support to the Executive Manager Corporate Services by ensuring the reconciliation, integrity, and timely reporting of financial information.
The ideal candidate will have an appropriate tertiary or diploma level qualification in Finance or Accounting or alternatively 5 plus years’ experience in a similar role in the Local Government sector. You will also have experience in an accounting environment and a sound knowledge of the Australian accounting standards, with a proactive, business supportive, customer focused and solution driven attitude.
- 12 Month maternity leave contract
- Up to 76 hours per fortnight (negotiable)

- Gross Salary range: $100,000 to $105,000 per annum (pro rata) dependent upon skills andexperience

Principal Building Surveyor
Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Services, this position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all legislation, codes and guidelines as they apply to building and construction. The Principal Building Surveyor is also responsible for liaising with the community, builders, architects, developers and engineers with respect to the legislative requirements for new construction.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Local Government Building Surveyor, with a proactive, business supportive, customer focused and solution driven attitude.
You will have a demonstrated working knowledge of the Building Act 2011, Building Regulations 2012, Building Code of Australia and other relevant legislation, along with demonstrated working knowledge of the application of building surveying functions, including assessment and compliance of building matters.
Employment Conditions (up to):
- Permanent part-time position (up to 30.4 hours per fortnight)
- Gross Salary range: $100,000 to $110,000 per annum pro rata dependent upon skills and experience
- 12% superannuation guarantee plus up to an additional 5% matching employer contribution

Principal Planning Officer
Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Services, this position is responsible for taking a leading role in all planning responsibilities for the Shire (Strategic and Statutory Planning) in a customer focused and timely manner.
The Principal Planning Officer is also responsible for providing professional planning advice and service to the Council, the wider community and within the organisation. They will maintain a high level of service in accordance with the objectives of the Council, community expectations and statutory requirements, including providing advice to Development Services staff to develop best practice in the functions of town planning and administration of those processes.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of previous statutory town planning experience, with excellent communication skills and a proactive, business supportive, customer focused and solution driven attitude.
You will have demonstrated working knowledge of Local and State planning policies, approval procedures and processes, the ability to provide specialist advice, and apply knowledge of relevant procedures, policies and activities.
