Proposed Bushfire Brigades Local Law 2025

The purpose and effect of the local law is -

Purpose:

To provide for the establishment, organisation, and management of bush fire brigades within the district, in accordance with the Bush Fires Act 1954.

 Effect:

Is to enable the Shire to establish bush fire brigades for the purpose of carrying out normal brigade activities, define the structure, roles, and responsibilities of brigade officers and members and to support the safe and effective operation of volunteer bush fire brigades.
