Ride. Progress. Respect Country.
The Ngoolark MTB Freestyle Jump Park is a purpose‑built riding space designed for skill development, progression and fun — set within the forests of Nannup as part of the town’s growing network of trail experiences.
More than a jump park, Ngoolark is a place where riding, culture and community come together, supporting Nannup’s vision as a Trail Town and an active, connected community.
What Is the Ngoolark MTB Freestyle Jump Park?
The Ngoolark MTB Freestyle Jump Park provides a dedicated space for riders to practice, build confidence and develop jumping skills in a safe, purpose‑built environment.
Inspired by BMX‑style trail design, the park features:
- Two downhill jump lines
- A return trail back to the start mound
- A compact layout ideal for session riding and progression
Ngoolark is suited to intermediate and advanced riders looking to refine skills or prepare for more challenging trail networks, including the nearby Tank 7 Mountain Bike Park.
Why the Park Is Called Ngoolark
Ngoolark is the Noongar name for the white‑tailed black cockatoo, a culturally significant species with a strong connection to this area.
An Aboriginal heritage assessment identified the park location as a nesting ground for the white‑tailed black cockatoo. Following this assessment, the local Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee, Karri Karrak, was engaged in the naming process. The name Ngoolark was chosen to recognise the cultural and ecological significance of the place.
The Ngoolark name and branding reflect respect for Country and acknowledge the importance of cultural heritage in shaping shared community spaces.
Designed With Care for Environment and Culture
Ecological surveys informed the design and construction of the park, ensuring development was limited to existing, degraded track alignments and minimised additional disturbance to native bushland.
The jump lines were constructed using an acrylic polymer stabilisation method, designed to protect trail surfaces, extend the life of the features and reduce ongoing environmental impact.
Every aspect of the park has been designed with care — balancing recreation, environmental responsibility and cultural respect.
