Experience Nannup During the UCI Gravel World Championships
The Shire of Nannup, in partnership with Tourism WA and the Nannup Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is proud to deliver a vibrant Community Activation Program during the UCI Gravel World Championships from 9 to 11 October 2026.
Located opposite Old Depot Park on Brockman Street, the Community Activation precinct will provide visitors, competitors and locals with opportunities to experience the unique character of Nannup through arts, culture, entertainment, nature-based activities and local community involvement.
The activation program has been designed to complement race operations, encourage visitors to explore the town centre, support local businesses and create an enjoyable experience for people of all ages.
Family Activation Zone
A dedicated family-friendly area will offer a range of free activities throughout the weekend, including:
- Nature-based workshops featuring local flora and fauna
- Creative arts and hands-on activities
- Face painting and interactive games
- Penny Farthing bicycle displays
- Live music performances
- Roving entertainment for children and families

- Saturday 10 October - Gravel World Championships Nannup: Elite Women, Women Age Groups, Men 50+
- Sunday 11 October - Gravel World Championships Nannup: Elite Men, Men 19-49
- Location: Nannup
- Participants: Over 3,000 national and international competitors, plan for up to 8,000 on the Sunday with spectators
- Racing: Elite and amateur riders competing for the UCI rainbow jersey
Rainbow Rides Gravel Adventure 4-8 October 2026
In international cycling, the “rainbow” refers to the UCI rainbow jersey, worn by the current UCI World Champion. Featuring five coloured stripes that represent all continents, the jersey symbolises the highest achievement in the sport. In gravel cycling, riders who win their category at the GravelWorld Championships earn the honour of wearing the rainbow jersey when competing the following year.
Rainbow Rides | Southern Forests & Valleys
Get the whole family together and experience the Southern Forests & Valleys on two wheels! The Southern Forests & Valleys Rainbow Rides bring cycling, community and plenty of family fun to Balingup, Bridgetown and Pemberton.
- Sunday 4th October: Balingup
- Monday 5th October: Bridgetown
- Tuesday 6th October: Pemberton
Each ride offers a relaxed 15 km route through the region, with a shorter 8 km option in Bridgetown, plus kids’ riding activities in Balingup and Pemberton. It’s a great way for families to get out, get active and explore these beautiful towns together.
