As the countdown continues to the UCI Gravel World Championships, Nannup is preparing to welcome competitors, supporters and visitors from across Australia and around the world, with the community coming together to showcase the spirit, hospitality and vibrancy that make our town so special.
The world-class event presents an exciting opportunity for local businesses, community groups and volunteers to play an active role in creating a memorable experience for everyone visiting Nannup. Across the race weekend and school holiday period, a diverse range of organisations have joined forces to deliver activities, services and experiences that reflect the strength and connectedness of our community.
Local groups contributing to the weekend include:
- Nannup Lions Club, hosting a community sausage sizzle.
- Nannup P&C, supporting event parking operations.
- Nannup Community Markets, continuing their popular Saturday market.
- Nannup Arts Group, presenting the Wild Wild Wood Art Show.
- Community Cinema Inc., screening The Big Bike Film.
- Cundinup Fire Shed, fundraising for the restoration of the historic Cundinup School at Adina Farm.
- Nannup RSL, proudly displaying Australian flags throughout town.
- Nannup Bowling Club and Nannup Community House, providing access to community facilities.
- Nannup Chamber of Commerce, coordinating the Family Zone.
