When emergencies happen, we see the flashing lights and hear the sirens. But behind every response is a team of local volunteers who dedicate their time to protecting our community.

Our Bush Fire Brigades, Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service and State Emergency Service are inviting the community to come along, meet their crews and discover what it takes to keep Nannup safe.

With increasingly unpredictable weather, bushfires, storms and other emergencies can affect us all. Learning how to prepare your home, property and family can make a real difference when disaster strikes.

This is a great opportunity to see emergency equipment up close, learn practical safety tips and hear firsthand what volunteering is really like. You might even discover a role that's right for you. Whether you're interested in fighting fires, responding to storms, supporting logistics or helping behind the scenes, there are opportunities for people of all ages, skills and backgrounds.

Volunteering isn't just about helping others. It's about building skills, making friendships and becoming part of a team that makes a genuine difference in the community.

Come along, have a free meal, talk to the vollies and see how you can help make Nannup safer, stronger and more resilient for the future.
