The Nannup Fire Ready Community Expo has been organised to give residents the opportunity to learn about bushfire preparedness in a relaxed, family-friendly environment.

Whether you're new to the area or have lived here for years, you'll be able to speak directly with local emergency management experts, volunteer firefighters and emergency service personnel, ask questions, and gain practical knowledge that could make all the difference during the fire season.

This and more...
βœ… Firebreaks and property preparation
βœ… Restricted burning periods and current regulations
βœ… Burn permits and burn-off notification requirements
βœ… Household bushfire planning and preparedness
βœ… The DFES Virtual Reality Fire Experience
βœ… Volunteer opportunities with local Fire Brigades, SES and Fire Services

πŸš’ Meet your local volunteers, explore fire trucks, emergency vehicles and specialised equipment, and learn firsthand how our emergency services work together to keep Nannup safe.

While the topics are important, the day is designed to be informal, interactive and engaging, making it easy to learn at your own pace, chat with local experts and connect with others in the community.

Enjoy a free barbecue and refreshments, kindly provided by the Lions Club and catering by Loose Goose.

Bring the whole family. The kids will love getting up close to the fire trucks, meeting local crews and exploring the equipment on display.
