The Shire of Nannup and the Nannup Local Drug Action Group (LDAG) are pleased to announce the successful funding of the Stronger Together initiative through the Alcohol and Drug Foundation's Community Action Program.
This funding will support a range of community-focused activities designed to strengthen connections across generations, encourage healthy and active lifestyles, and enhance social wellbeing within the Nannup community.
The Nannup LDAG continues to play an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our community. Through partnerships, community engagement and locally driven initiatives, the group works to create opportunities that bring people together, build resilience and foster a strong sense of belonging.
The Stronger Together initiative reflects these values by encouraging participation from young people, older residents, families and the wider community. Activities will focus on creating positive social connections, supporting wellbeing, developing new skills and providing opportunities for people to engage with one another in meaningful ways.
Importantly, the program recognises that strong communities are built through connection. By creating opportunities for people of different ages and backgrounds to come together, the initiative aims to strengthen community ties and contribute to the inclusive and welcoming character that makes Nannup such a special place to live.
The project is the result of collaboration between the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, the Nannup Local Drug Action Group and the Shire of Nannup, highlighting a shared commitment to supporting the wellbeing of our community.
The Shire of Nannup acknowledges and thanks the dedicated volunteers of the Nannup LDAG, whose ongoing efforts continue to deliver positive outcomes for local residents. Their work contributes significantly to initiatives that support youth engagement, healthy ageing, social inclusion and overall community wellbeing.
Further information about upcoming activities will be shared with the community as opportunities become available.
