The Shire of Nannup is pleased to advise the community that long-awaited sewerage infrastructure upgrades will be undertaken at the Recreation Precinct as part of the Nannup Recreation & Community Centre Services Upgrade Works.
These important works will improve essential services within the precinct and support the ongoing development and functionality of this valued community facility.
Road Closure and Traffic Changes
To facilitate the installation of a new sewer extension, works will be carried out in Railway Street, including the section crossing North Street, from 2 to 13 November.
During this period:
- North Street will be closed to through traffic
- Motorists are asked to use Higgins Street, Wilson Street and Ford Way as alternative routes
- Traffic management and directional signage will be in place
Recreation Centre and Function Room Toilet Closures
As part of these works, the Recreation Precinct toilets will be temporarily out of service from 2 to 13 November (inclusive).
Alternative public toilets are available at Marinko Park during this time.
A second stage of the project is scheduled to take place within the golf course precinct in January 2027. Some additional disruptions to Recreation Precinct toilet facilities may occur during this period. Further details will be provided to affected users and the broader community closer to the commencement of these works.
