Sam Hill Signature Trails Appointed to Deliver Nannup Native Forest MTB Park
The Shire of Nannup is pleased to announce that Sam Hill Signature Trails (SHST) has been selected as the preferred contractor for the detailed design and construction of the Nannup Native Forest Mountain Bike Park Project, following a competitive tender process.
The decision reflects SHST’s proven expertise, innovative methodology, and strong alignment with the Shire’s vision for sustainable, high-quality trail development. Their proposal demonstrated:
- Comprehensive Methodology: A staged approach to design and construction that addresses environmental sensitivities, cultural heritage requirements, and seasonal constraints. This ensures efficient delivery within the project’s tight timeframe.
- Local Knowledge and Experience: SHST brings extensive experience from similar projects across Western Australia, including the maintenance contract for the Tank 7 MTB Park and Linga Longa Bike Park, showcasing their ability to deliver world-class trails in challenging environments.
- Risk Management and Quality Assurance: Robust strategies to mitigate risks such as weather delays and fire danger, combined with strict adherence to WA Mountain Bike Guidelines for safety and durability.
- Value for Money: A cost-effective plan leveraging local materials and engaging local contractors, supporting both sustainability and community economic development.
Stage 3 of the Nannup Trail Town Project will see the construction of the Pine Ridge Trail Network, trailhead facilities, and linkages to the Munda Biddi Trail, creating a premier destination for riders and visitors. Works are scheduled to commence in January 2026, with completion by June 2026.
This project is proudly funded by the Regional Recovery Partnership Program through the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
