Families in Nannup are being reminded that financial support is available to help children participate in local sport, with the KidSport program offering up to $300 per eligible child each financial year.
As we approach the end of the current funding period, the Shire of Nannup is encouraging parents and carers to submit KidSport applications before 30 June 2026 wherever possible. Applying early helps ensure timely processing and smooth payment to local sporting clubs.
Importantly, all applications submitted on or before 30 June 2026 will still be honoured within the current financial year, even if assessment occurs later.

KidSport plays an important role in removing financial barriers and ensuring all children have the opportunity to participate in sport, build friendships and stay active. The program supports a wide range of activities, helping to strengthen community connection and wellbeing in line with Nannup’s commitment to inclusive, active lifestyles.

The good news for families is that the KidSport voucher will remain at $300 per eligible child for the next financial year, running from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.
🔧 Upcoming improvements
In the coming months, the KidSport system will also introduce a refreshed online portal, designed to make the application process more user-friendly. While the system will look a little different, the core process will remain the same. Updated guidance and support materials will be shared to help families navigate the changes.
