Telstra will soon upgrade its mobile base station servicing Nannup to deliver improved 4G and 5G connectivity. While these works will enhance user experience, they will require temporary outages to mobile services in the area.
What’s affected?
- Telstra mobile services will experience disruptions during the scheduled works.
- Landline, NBN, and satellite internet services, as well as mobile coverage from other providers, will remain unaffected.
Telstra customers will receive SMS notifications about the planned outages. During any downtime, calls to Triple Zero (000) from Telstra mobiles will automatically connect to another available network to ensure access to emergency services.
Planned outage schedule:
- 3, 5 & 7 December: Daily 8-hour outages (07:00–17:00)
- 8 December (07:00) – 9 December (18:00): Continuous outage
- 10 December: Intermittent outages and reduced performance
Tips to stay connected:
- Enable Wi-Fi Calling on your mobile device to make and receive calls over Wi-Fi during outages.
- Businesses should connect EFTPOS terminals to NBN or Wi-Fi to avoid transaction delays.
