You may have noticed the Containers for Change bins appearing around town—especially at community events. While they’re a great addition, there’s more to these bins than meets the eye.
Behind every bin is real effort. It’s not just about tossing in bottles and cans—someone needs to sort recyclables from general waste to make it count. That’s what turns containers into cash for our community.
The Shire of Nannup is excited to roll out 10 new Containers for Change bins, creating a practical and rewarding opportunity for local community groups to get involved.
💰 Here’s how your group can participate:
Community groups now have two flexible options to get involved—the choice is yours, but it’s important that bins are actively managed.
Option 1: Event-Based Support
Manage bins at local events and busy periods—collect eligible containers and turn them into fundraising for your group.
Option 2: Main Street Roster
Take responsibility for managing the bins in the main street on a weekly basis, helping keep the system running smoothly while generating ongoing income.
