Community Notice
Nannup is gearing up to welcome competitors, support crews and visitors from around the world for the UCI World Gravel Championships 2026. As excitement builds, residents will begin to notice event infrastructure being installed throughout town from Monday 5 October.
The event flags already flying along the main street are helping create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, and over the coming week the town will gradually transform into a world-class event precinct. To help residents plan ahead, below is an overview of activities taking place during event week.
Monday 5 October
Installation of event fencing, signage and wayfinding will commence throughout town. Residents can expect to see significant infrastructure being installed, particularly along Grange Road and within key event precincts.
Tuesday 6 October
Fencing and marquees will be erected within the Family Zone at the Nannup Caravan Park Playground. Event spaces will begin to take shape as contractors prepare the site for race weekend operations.
Wednesday 7 October
Event infrastructure and venue preparations will continue across town. Visitors travelling with caravans will begin arriving and setting up at the Nannup Town Oval.
Thursday 8 October
Forest Street will be closed to allow for the setup of the Trade Expo and event activation areas. Contractors and exhibitors will be bumping in throughout the day, while additional caravans arrive to camp at the Town Oval.
Friday 9 October
Food vendors will begin setting up in Depot Park, ready to cater for residents and visitors over the weekend. Food and refreshments will be available throughout the event precinct.
The official UCI course inspection will also take place, with a convoy of approximately two to three vehicles travelling around the race course. Residents may notice increased activity on roads along the route.
Saturday 10 October
Race weekend officially begins.
The popular Nannup Markets will operate as usual in their normal location and timeslot. Families are encouraged to visit the Family Zone at the Nannup Caravan Park between 9.30am and 4.30pm, featuring activities and entertainment for all ages.
Please note that the public toilets located at the rear of the Shire Offices will be closed for the duration of the event weekend. Portable toilet facilities will be available nearby.
Sunday 11 October
Race activities will continue throughout the day. Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy the atmosphere around town and visit the Family Zone at the Caravan Park.

Additional Information
To ensure Nannup is looking its best for visitors, street sweeping will be undertaken on 1 October and again on 8 October.
Residents are encouraged to allow extra travel time during event week and to follow all temporary signage, traffic management directions and parking arrangements.
