Young people in Nannup are invited to get involved as Youth Zone returns for Term 2, kicking off on Tuesday 26 May 2026 at the Recreation Precinct.

The Shire of Nannup is pleased to welcome Apryl Longford, returning in her role as Community Development Officer, alongside Shealie Tarr from the Nannup Community Resource Centre, who will be joining the program this term. Together, they will support the delivery of engaging and inclusive activities for local young people.

Running weekly from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, Youth Zone offers a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for young people aged 11 and over to connect, learn and have fun

This term brings six weeks of creativity, learning and action, with a special focus on photography. Participants will have the chance to build new skills, explore their creativity and work together to organise a youth photography competition—an exciting opportunity to showcase local talent and perspectives.

Alongside the creative program, Youth Zone will continue to offer one of its most popular elements—trying different sports and activities. Whether it’s picking up a new skill or just having a go with friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Youth Zone without the great food and snacks provided after school, creating a relaxed and social atmosphere for young people to unwind and connect.

Stay on for Community Connection

The fun doesn’t stop when Youth Zone wraps up. The Community Dinner follows straight after, giving young people and their families the opportunity to stay on for a delicious meal and further connection with the community.

Community members are also encouraged to get involved by volunteering, helping to make these shared experiences possible. Whether attending or lending a hand, it’s a great way to contribute to the strong sense of belonging that makes Nannup such a special place to live.

Get Involved

Youth Zone is all about inclusion, connection and opportunity, and new members are always welcome.

Parents and guardians of new participants are encouraged to complete a parent information form prior to attending. https://form.jotform.com/shire_of_nannup/youth-zone-parent-consent-form

What a great place we live in—with so many opportunities for young people, families and volunteers to be involved, connected and supported.
