The Shire of Nannup advises that the extraordinary vacancy in the office of Councillor, created by the resignation of Mr Timothy Sly, has been filled by election under Schedule 4.1A of the Local Government Act 1995.
As the vacancy occurred within 12 months of the last local government election, the position is filled by the next highest-polling unelected candidate, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1995.
The person elected to fill the vacancy is:
✅ Cr Ian Gibb
Cr Gibb's term of office will expire on the next Ordinary Election Day, being 21 October 2027.
We welcome Cr Ian Gibb as he resumes his service to the Nannup community and look forward to his contribution to Council and the continued delivery of outcomes for our community.
