I hereby declare that the extraordinary vacancy in the office of Councillor created by the resignation of

Timothy Sly

has been filled by election under Schedule 4.1A of the Local Government Act 1995.

As the vacancy occurred within 12 months of the last election, the position is filled by the next highest-polling unelected candidate – a process set out under the Local Government Act 1995.

The person elected to fill the vacancy is:

Ian Gibb

The term of office will expire on the next Ordinary Election Day which is 21 October 2027.
