COMMUNITY NOTICE
- The Shire of Nannup has been successful for sponsorship through the Heritage Sponsorship Program 2025–26 of Total amount $5830 ex GST to complete five new Oral History interviews to capture and preserve local stories.
- These are taking place during the festival.
- Celebrate Nannup’s unique heritage as part of the Southern Forests & Valleys Heritage Festival.
- Dates: Saturday 18 April – Sunday 26 April 2026.
- Immerse yourself in local stories, traditions, and landscapes that define our community.
- Enjoy:
- Heritage walks and historic tours through Nannup’s charming streets and surrounds, view the history through window displays Heritage Window Display - Open Air Museum
- Connect with local storytellers and discover the tales that shaped Nannup - Five new stories will be developed over this week to celebrate our stories
- Locations to listen to Oral Histories project of 20 locals to celebrate the past, present, and future of our vibrant community, nannup Library, Nannup Clock Tower and Nannup Historical Society.
- Listen to Nannup's Oral History Podcasts as you are driving around the Southern Forest and Valleys Nannup Oral History Stories
- Check out Jacks Shack and the interpretive signage at Donnely River and the Donnely River Walk Tour
- The Heritage Walk trail and the ANZAC Military History self-guided walk in Town
- Events and activities will span across all the charming town of Balingup, Walpole, Nannup, Boyup Brook, Bridgetown, Pemberton, Greenbushes, Manjimup, Donnybrook and Northcliffe.
