Blackwood Classic 250 – Power Dinghy Race -27–29 September 2025 (50 years!)

Celebrating 50 years, the Blackwood Classic 250 is the world’s longest power dinghy race. This iconic three-day time trial covers 250 kilometres of breathtaking scenery along the Blackwood River, from Bridgetown to Augusta.

Founded by Ted and Norma Whitney, the race was inspired by the Avon Descent and their deep family connection to the Blackwood River.

Race Schedule:

• Day 1 (Saturday): Bridgetown to Nannup
• Boats will exit at the Nannup Caravan Park footbridge from around 10:00am and be stored overnight.
• Day 2 (Sunday): Nannup to Sue’s Bridge
• Departure from Nannup at 9:00am
• Day 3 (Monday): Sue’s Bridge to Augusta
