Minijet WA Esther Mathews Molloy Memorial

The Shire of Nannup has approved an event permit for Minijet WA to conduct the Esther Mathews Molloy Memorial, a two-day jet boat adventure and endurance event along the iconic Blackwood River from Nannup to Molloy Island.
Mini Jet WA is a passionate group of adventurers and thrill-seekers dedicated to showcasing the excitement of jet boating throughout Western Australia. The event celebrates the spirit of exploration, teamwork and adventure while highlighting the natural beauty of the Blackwood River.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to come along and support participants as they undertake this unique river journey through some of the South West's most spectacular landscapes.

Race Schedule
Day 1 - Saturday 26 September 2026
- Brockman Bridge, Nannup to Sue's Bridge
- Boats enter the water from 8.00am
Day 2 - Sunday 27 September 2026
- Sue's Bridge to Molloy Island
Best Viewing Locations
Due to the nature of the river, spectator viewing opportunities are limited; however, the best vantage points include:
- Brockman Street Bridge, Nannup
- Sue's Campground
- Molloy Hideaway

Notice to River Users
Mariners and recreational river users are advised that event vessels will be operating at speed along sections of the Blackwood River during the event. Please exercise caution when navigating these areas and remain well clear of participating vessels at all times.
