Residents across 13 South West towns – including Nannup – can now take advantage of free waterโsaving initiatives through Water Corporation’s Waterwise Towns Program. This year’s program is the largest to date, supporting 47 regional communities across Western Australia to reduce water use and lower household bills.
A Program Delivering State-wide Results
The annual program continues to deliver impressive results. In the South West alone, it saved more than 33 million litres of water last year. Since it began in 2013, the Waterwise Towns Program has saved approximately 1.8 billion litres of drinking water State-wide — the equivalent of 812 Olympic-sized swimming pools - helping regional households adopt practical, long-term waterwise habits.
Waterwise Offers Available in Nannup
Nannup residents may be eligible for two free water-saving opportunities:
- Showerhead Swap
Exchange up to two old, inefficient showerheads for modern, waterwise models at no cost.
Last year, 206 South West participants swapped 296 showerheads, saving almost four million litres of water.
- Rainwater Tank Rebates
Eligible households can apply for rebates on:
- the purchase of a new rainwater tank,
- installation of a new tank, or
- plumbing in or replacing an existing tank.
Apply Early
Both the rainwater tank rebate and Showerhead Swap offers are available until 31 May 2024, or until allocations are exhausted.
